Frequently Asked Questions
“Morgan, why should I trust you to help me reach my goals?”
While I have an advanced degree in exercise science, 5+ years experience working with some of the best coaches in the field, and a true passion for helping my clients reach their goals, I strongly believe that what distinguishes me as a coach is the relationship I develop with my clients, which I best describe as a ‘two-way street’. I approach training as a collaborative effort, a partnership, and an educational experience for coach and client. It’s essential that my clients have input in the training process and that I help clients understand the important rationale behind coaching decisions. Training shouldn’t be a dictatorship and there shouldn’t be “one way traffic”.
“How is the training program structured and how much does it cost?”
I currently offer two options for training programs. With the first option, clients train on a single session basis and schedule sessions one at a time, as their schedule permits. The second is a monthly training option, where we work together for 4 weeks, training ~3 times per week depending on schedule and client availability. Schedule your free consultation and trial Virtual Training Sessions to see which option would work best for you and your goals.
“I’ve never done resistance training before. Do you work with clients that have little to no training experience?”
Yes! After a thorough consultation and quick, simple assessment, I design training programs that meet the client where they are. I have worked with clients as young as 12 all the way up to 73 years old, and I have trained novices with zero training experience, as well as elite, high-performing athletes. Training difficulty and intensity is always appropriately matched to the client goals and preferences.
“Can I choose to do the nutrition coaching only?”
I approach fitness as a comprehensive and cohesive process, integrating resistance training, conditioning, good nutrition habits, and stress management seamlessly into a single program. As such, I do not currently offer nutrition coaching as a stand alone service. I strongly believe nutrition should go hand in hand with performance and recovery when it comes to health and fitness.
“Hi Morgan - I love taking this one group fitness class. Can I keep taking the class while working with you?”
Absolutely! Many current clients supplement our training programs with other activities. I make sure we communicate frequently and are on the same page at all times, in order to manage the training load and make sure you don’t feel too burnt out or overwhelmed during the training process.
“What do I need to have access to? Can I still train if I don’t have any equipment?”
No equipment is required! I do make recommendations and encourage clients to make minimal investments in some basic equipment based on goals, but nothing specific is required. I’ve personally maintained lower body strength, increased muscle mass, and sustained a lean body fat percentage with a backpack, a towel, a role of duct tape, and a stapler (okay… maybe not the tape or the stapler, but you get the idea). ”Necessity is the mother of invention”.
